In Bloom, 2026
Inspired by the way we heal, grow and evolve. In Bloom explores themes of resilience, emotional renewal, and the strength of overcoming adversity.
The Inspiration behind ‘In Bloom”
I was talking to my friend about this idea that healing is cyclical. That there is a period of learning, of becoming and of ascending.
She made this great point: that all three phases can happen simultaneously, because we’re often healing various aspects of ourselves at once. We don’t live in a vacuum, and neither does our inner world.
We’re not only healing wounds, but past versions of ourselves, old patterns, belief systems, self-worth, intimacy and so much more. And we’re usually tackling a number of these things at once, all in different stages of learning, unlearning, healing, and integrating.
Just as flowers fade to allow for new growth, emotional healing requires letting go of past habits or pain to allow for a new, stronger version of ourselves to appear.
It also got me thinking about the fact that healing has no due date, no timeline, or deadlines. It’s a continuous and non-linear journey with layers upon layers of depth.
Flowers don’t grow overnight, and neither do we: healing can’t be forced, but must happen in its own time.
At first that can be a jarring realization. That there is no end date or a moment where you’ll all of a sudden be healed. But at some point you realize there is so much beauty in the unknown, and freedom in the fact that this process is ever evolving.
I wanted to lean into this phase of ‘becoming’ with In Bloom. This idea that the becoming is a transformative phase of growing into a more authentic, strong and whole version of ourselves instead of reverting to an old pattern or trying to achieve an unrealistic state of perfection. It really emphasizes that healing is this ongoing and evolving journey of self discovery, where we integrate pain into our stories instead of rejecting it.
Because there is beauty in the becoming.
I hope this piece can serve as a visual reminder that your journey is just as important as your destination. That you’re becoming is a reconstruction not a restoration and that you are constantly blooming into the most authentic version of yourself.
