Echoes Beneath the Willow began as a conversation about memories that hurt and heal at the same time. Inspired by musician Jade Monet’s album In the Shade of the Willow and our shared belief that two things can be true at once: pain can break us open, and it can also make us whole. Together, we spoke about grief, love, abandonment, self-worth and the reclamation that comes when you create art from your wounds. This painting isn’t just of Jade, it’s about every woman who has ever carried the weight of both joy and loss in the same breath.
